Deadline for the mandatory renewal of the registration of foreign and domestic installations in the United States started
On October 1st, was initiated in the United States the period for the submission of the mandatory registrations renews for foreign and domestic facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or store food, food ingredients, pet foods, or dietary supplements with the Food and Drug administration (FDA).
Failure to submit, renew, update, or cancel a registration can result in the following penalties: (i) the facility being prohibited from importing or exporting food into or from the U.S.; (ii) the facility being prohibited from offering to import or export food into or from the U.S.; (iii) the facility being prohibited from introducing food into interstate or intrastate commerce, and (iv) the facility being subject to civil or criminal action.
